Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

Music Ministry Team    We use a variety of musicians each week during the 8:30am and 10:00am services, including singers, guitar, bass, drums, and an assortment of other instruments.  Our musicians range in age from junior high and high school through college students and adult community members.

Adult Choir     We sing the great hymns of the faith as well as some wonderful new hymns that have been written recently. The choir sings every other week during the 11:00am service during the school year, and meets for rehearsal  every other Tuesday at 7:00pm in the sanctuary.  Dr. Judy Congdon is Choir Director.

Additionally, various members of our church family play instruments or sing during the service, so if would like to serve musically on Sunday morning please contact our Music and Worship Director Pastor David Huizenga for more information.

Greeters and Ushers     Greeters and Ushers help prepare the hearts of members for worship as they welcome guests with a smile and warm handshake. They are attentive to anyone that seeks information from them and are willing to follow- up when they cannot answer questions. They serve God as they aid the congregation members and ensure a smooth operative environment.  If you enjoy meeting new people and have a genuine desire to make them feel comfortable this may the ministry for you.

Acolyte      Children in grades 2nd– 8th grade serve during the Sunday Morning worship services by lighting and extinguishing the alter candles.

Nursery     Child care is provided for infants and toddlers’ ages 0-24 months during the 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00am services. We provide a loving, nurturing, safe, secure and clean environment for our children.

Children’s Church     Children in grades PreK – 1st grade are dismissed before the sermon during the 8:30am Sunday Morning service so they can have an age appropriate lesson. Contact Emily Spateholts for more information about working with children in Children’s Church.

Kids Connect     Kids Connect (formerly Sunday school) classes for ages 3 through 6th grade meet from 9:45-10:45am every Sunday morning during the school year using curriculum from GROW. Our desire is to help kids connect with God, connect with the Church, and connect with each other while learning to live like Jesus.
